According to Māris, "Stu:
This is either a short-spined peru or a long-spined pach, it's hard to say. It originally came from another local grower "Stuart Crocker", who didn't have a name for it."

"Rolleston 2:
The name comes from the township out of Christchurch where the stand was originally found. The original owners wanted it gone, so my friend and I took it down for them. My friend is the president of the local cactus & succulent society, and another cactus breeder (trading as Spirit of the Four Winds) who's sent his crosses around the world. He picked up a different pach clone from Rolleston previously, so we called this one Rolleston 2."
