update 10/29/2025: big changes, please read- reverted back to the classic and pleasing mathematical pricing system of spend twice as much, get at least thrice as many seeds- dropped the prices to $8/30, $16/100, $32/300 and $64/1000. discounts now stack twice as slow- instead of 5% off each item after the first, 5% is granted after every 2 items. maximum discount of 50% still stands. if an order is under $25, there will now be a $5 shipping charge. if the $25 threshold is met, there will be no charge for the classic stamped option that 99% of customers choose-
making these changes has helped me to find a balance between small orders and covering my cost of shipping. before with the free shipping no matter the order size, i compensated by having higher base pricing. now that the $25 threshold for shipping charge is in place, its allowed me to significantly reduce the base cost of seeds.
update 10/27/2025: removed combo packs due to low popularity. to compensate, lowered seed prices on larger packs- was stuck on the "spend twice as much, get thrice as many seeds" price tier system for too long. 100, 300 and 1000 seed count prices now standardized across the board as follows- $18/100 $33/300, and $64/1000. (before discount of up to 50%)

update 12/21/24:
*upped the starting price tier on seeds to $9 for 30 count, $18 for 100, $36 for 300 and $72 for a gram (~approximately 1000 seeds) This has been changed from the previous starting price tier for seeds from $7.50 for 30 count, $15 for 100, $30 for 300 and $60 for a gram. To compensate for this change and reward people who grow more seeds, the maximum discount is now capped at 50%- this is an increase from the previous max discount of 30%
If taking into consideration the maximum possible discount for the old price tier at 30% off it came out to: $5.25 per 30 count, $10.50 per 100, $21 per 300 and $42 per gram, versus the new maximum discount on the new pricing tier at 50% its now possible to acheive: $4.50 per 30 count, $9 per 100, $18 per 300 and $36 per gram.
The rules of acheiving the discount is still the same- an additional 5% per additional item after the first. this means the old cap of 30% which took 7 items to reach will now be increased by 20% maxing out at 50% and will take 11 items to reach.
Base combo package pricing will also be adjusted accordingly, but will have the potential to be less expensive if taking into consideration the new maximum discount potential.
This change has been implemented not only to encourage people to take another step and grow even more cactus than ever, (keep in mind there is no minimum price threshhold to reach to place an order with the Pirates Lounge) but also to accommodate for the rising prices of postage so i can keep shipping free for everyone. The USPS as of late has been returning a higher than usual amount of packs to me with the request that a non-machineable surcharge is added to the letter, even though the way i mail is considered to be within the guidelines of requiring a singular stamp for postage. a single forever stamp has risen in price since their inception in 2007 from 41 cents then, and 73 cents now in late 2024. the non-machineable surcharge is an additonal 46 cents per letter. Thats a total of $1.19 just in postage to ship each pack of seeds today as opposed to $0.58 when i first started in 2021 means the price of just postage has more than doubled in those 3 years. (99% of customers choose the free postage option which i vow the Pirates Lounge will always have in place for everyone around the world) the option for growers and hobbyists alike in the USA still have the option to upgrade their First-Class stamped letter to a Ground Advantage or Priority mail package- (please note that the actual packaging of the seeds does not change and no matter if postage is paid for or not by the customer or not, all seeds are packaged with just as much love and protection.

update 12/18/23: a little price cut all around the board (took effect a couple weeks ago) to knocked down the price of most varieties by 1 tier to lower the barrier of entry for the more rare seeds. for example, seeds which were originally $8 for 30, $16 for 90, and $32 for 270 were changed to $7 for 30, $14 for 90 and $28 for 270 respectively. posted the raffle results for this month as well

The reasoning behind this change is to make pricing more clear and simple: pay twice as much, get thrice as much. cutting out the excess makes it more worth everyones time involved- me, you, and the cactus~ Upped maximum discount when buying multiple packs from 25% to 30%. Removed the pack of 810 seeds which was a price tier for a very limited number of crosses and bumped the pricing down for packs of 90 and 270 for each price tier. The lowest price for a single pack of 30 seeds is now a flat 5 instead of 4.99. See details below...
